Who we are

Josook (josook.com) is a classifieds platform in Jordan. This policy explains what data we collect about you, why, and how you can control it. We follow Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023.

What we collect

• Account data: your phone number, plus your name and email if you add them.
• Your ads: title, description, price, photos, city and neighborhood.
• CVs: if you use the CV builder, we store what you enter so we can prepare your file.
• Usage data: device type, browser and pages visited, to improve the site and prevent fraud.

Why we use it

• To publish your ads and let buyers contact you.
• To protect users from fake ads and fraud.
• To track your points and improve the service.
• We never sell your personal data.

What others can see

Ads you post are public. Your phone number is only shown to people who tap the call or WhatsApp button on your ad.

Ads and cookies

• We show ads from Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show ads relevant to you. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings (adssettings.google.com).
• We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language and light or dark mode.

Service providers

We store data with trusted providers: Supabase for the database and photos, Vercel for hosting, and Google for ads and analytics. They process data only on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. Deleted ads are removed from the database within 30 days. If you delete your account, we erase your data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can view, correct or ask us to delete your data. Delete your account from the "Delete account" page, or email info@josook.com.

Age

Josook is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect children's data.
